An officer was killed, and six others were wounded, due to a malfunctioning “Israeli” airstrike on the Gaza Strip.

“Lieutenant Shahar Ben Nun, aged 21, from Petah Tikva, a commander in the Paratroopers Reconnaissance Unit, Paratroopers Brigade, fell during combat in the southern Gaza Strip,” a statement by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said.

Another three soldiers were moderately wounded and three were lightly wounded.

According to an IOF probe, “Israeli” Air Force F-15 fighter jets were striking targets in Khan Younis, when one of the missiles steered off course due to a technical issue and struck a building where “Israeli” soldiers were stationed in.

The missiles glided 300 meters away from the intended target – according to the IOF’s probe.
